The 28 ft Marinette Express Cruiser is made of welded aluminum. She is designed with a semi-planing hull. Due to her light weight, relatively shallow chine angle, flat transom and broad beam--having a total 480 hp--she is rather fast and economical for boats of her size. DESCRIPTION If you are looking for a full-facility (full head, galley, dinette, berths) cabin cruiser to use for pleasure, for fishing or for a great weekend getaway, look no further. This express cruiser has twin, 240 hp Chrysler 318 inboard gasoline engines. Her light weight (8,200 lbs) and her hull design are the means to fuel economy, as opposed to the heavier vessels also having 480 total hp. A companionway door from the cockpit leads down 2 steps to the main salon with 6' 3" headroom. On starboard is a full height, fully enclosed head with a sink, a vanity with ample stowage, and a sizable medicine cabinet. The sink faucet has a by-pass valve available for connecting a hand-held shower head. On port, the main salon features a dinette table with 2 benches that converts to sleep 2. On starboard is a full galley that easily services the dining area. The galley has a stainless steel sink, a convertible (electric or alternatively, alcohol-fueled) 2-burner stovetop, a removable, cutting board overlay, a Norcold refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven, a toaster, teak shelves (for dishware, glasses or liquor), drawers and lockers with ample stowage, and a magazine/chart holder. Fore of the main salon is the V-berth. The V-berth sleeps 2, it is well-illuminated, and it has amazingly, generous headroom. It's a V-berth that is actually comfortable! Fully operable, fully screened windows surround the main salon and the enclosed head. All windows are equipped with full sets of white, Sunbrella fabric curtains and tie backs. The bridge is covered by a factory-installed hardtop with front and side, fully operable windows with screens. The bridge has dual helm seats with foot plates. An electric windless with anchor roller was factory-installed for ease in setting and lifting the anchor from the controls at the helm. The aft cockpit has room for a small table and 4 chairs. Conversely, there are 6 rod holders for a fishing expedition! From the cockpit, you follow the walk-around to the foredeck with a sun deck filling the footprint above main salon and V-berth. Atop the hardtop is the sun deck with a view! This vessel is equipped with an aft cockpit Sunbrella canvas. CONDITION OF BOAT Interior of boat is immaculate and in nearly new condition. Exterior of boat--for cosmetic reasons--needs sanding and painting. Integrity of the aluminum beneath the painted surface has not been compromised by these cosmetic needs.
