EXCITEBIKE for Nintendo NES.The Nintendo EAD-developed 2D racer was one of the first to stick you on the steep hills of the off-road biking bracket.Forced to worry about overheating and launching off each jump at just the right angle,players were
privy to a very unique and demanding Racing gameplay experience.
Not only that,but it also offered up a rare create-a-track mode.
Not only has this highly respected classic endured the test of time,but it went on
to see a warmly received 3D follow-up,Excitebike 64.Game cartridge only.This is a PROGRAMMABLE cartridge,but this feature was not tested by me.You
may want to bring your game console with all the hook ups to test it,if you want.
This was designed by gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto,the creator of the Mario,Donkey Kong ,and The Legend of Zelda games,to name a few.This game is a two-dimensional motocross simulation in profile view.The player can move
between four lanes of a track,pressing the ''A'' button to
accelerate and''B'' for turbo,which may cause the bike to overheat if pressed long
enough.The goal is to get a qualifying time for
the EXCITEBIKE race,a championship run.
Excitebike offers solo play and play against the computer intellengence.
Excitebike offers simple fun.Unfortunately to some gamers it lacks the depth neccessary to keep,and unlikely to hold the attention-or even
challenge - a modern gamer.Some gamers like the whole game and think it is
very fun and never gets old.The images are
flat.There are no notable characters,and little variety in track other that where to place a particular jump,puddle,or other
obstacle.When this came out it was state of the art.Especially with the two different modes you can play.One with the little men
on the bikes and one with out. The game is ultimately a race against your opponets.You must balance yourself to make great lunges over the ramps.
This is while also trying to keep a maximum level of speed without overheating your bike.This is the Oval Nintendo quality seal version of the game.
